The judges for this bout are Aafke Stam, Radbod Blank and Paul Aken.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Pedro tries a head kick but it misses.
Takemura doesn't fully commit to the body shot counter.
Pedro lands with a straight right. Takemura didn't see that one coming.
Takemura throws a lazy uppercut
letting Pedro counter with a right hand.
Pedro has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance.
Daisuke Takemura seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Excellent takedown into side control there by Takemura.
Pedro tries to bench press Takemura off him but Takemura keeps the position.
Takemura throws an elbow but Pedro slips to the side and avoids it well.
Pedro keeps Takemura under control for a moment.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Pedro is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Takemura's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Takemura's back!
What can Takemura do to escape this position? He's going to have to figure it out pretty quick if he wants to stay in the fight!

Takemura is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Pedro pulls his head out easily.

Takemura takes a big shot to the head but keeps on trying to improve his position.

Oooooh, big shot lands for Pedro! Takemura is hurt baaadly! Pedro is firing away with more strikes - Takemura is covering up... the ref is warning him to do something. He's just covering up though still and the ref has to step in to end the fight! This one is all over!
