Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Marijo Palavra (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Lyle Willems (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Fingers crossed for an exciting fight - I'm sure both fighters are looking for a nice under the table bonus!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

18 - 17 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Lyle Willems!
The judges for this bout are Don Winkell, Jack Bonds and Timothy Bukovac.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Willems throws a right and a left that both miss.
Palavra shoots in but Willems avoids the takedown attempt easily.
Palavra takes one on the chin but keeps coming.
Decent striking displayed by Willems there.
Palavra closes the distance and takes a jab right on the nose as he does so.
Willems throws a low kick, looking for Palavra's leg but Palavra calmly moves out of range.
Palavra jinks towards his opponent looking like he wants to counter with a mid kick but doesn't commit.
Palavra ducks under a wild hook from Willems.
Willems misses with a hook.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Palavra fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
Willems swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and Palavra counters with a nice double leg into half guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Palavra is keen to just control but Willems is a slippery customer.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Palavra in half guard on the top. He's looking for a kimura... He's got it locked and he's managed to free his trapped foot. Willems tries to escape but it's on too tight and he has to tap! Great BJJ skills there from Palavra!
