Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of The Island, General Mills!
The judges for this bout are Winston Alpacca, David Hoff and Bart Greer.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Mills shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Nahil defends it nicely.

Nahil closes the distance and clinches.

Mills has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Nahil uses from the top position.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Mills can do anything to dispel that myth.
Nahil trying to control the position from guard on top but Mills is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Nahil is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Mills is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Mills shoots in for a takedown but Nahil shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
Nahil moves in looking to clinch but Mills pushes him off.
Mills lets it all go there with a big combo counter but none of the punches connected.
Mills shoots in but no luck this time.
Ahmed Nahil has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of General Mills.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.

The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.
Mills displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Nahil.
Nahil misses with a two punch combination.
Mills shoots in looking for a takedown. Nahil tries to sprawl out of it but Mills keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Nahil manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Nahil fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Mills avoids it really well and circles away.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!

Nahil closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Mills did well to prevent Nahil getting side control.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but I would say that Ahmed Nahil will probably get the nod.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.



Mills closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
Mills is taking a breather. Nahil says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.

Mills is looking to pass Nahil's guard but actually Nahil recovers to full guard.

Mills stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Nahil swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Nahil wants to stand but Mills is controlling the position.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity.
Nahil misses with an attempted mid kick.
Mills gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily

and Nahil counters with a single leg into guard. Mills didn't expect that.
Nahil is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.
Nahil wants to pass the guard but Mills is keeping the position.

Mills is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

Nahil fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
Mills raises up his leg as if looking to counter with a high kick.
Mills throws a head kick that misses.
Nahil is looking to counter the offense by Mills and move into the clinch.
Nahil wants to clinch but Mills slips to the side

and Mills counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.

Nahil wants to control but instead he gets his guard passed and Mills is now in half guard.
Mills slows the pace down in half guard.

Mills is looking to advance position but Nahil won't allow it.

General Mills showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.


Nahil uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Mills.
Mills looks to land a left hand but Nahil moved out of range nicely.

Nahil bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
Mills manages to get back to half guard.
Mills is staying active underneath Nahil, who seems content to just control the action from this position.
Nahil tries to stand but his hand is stuck under Mills.

Nahil looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into side control! Oh, that's bad for Mills!

If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup.

Nahil is in full mount, looking to secure a guillotine but Mills is surviving well by controlling Nahil's body position as best he can.
Mills is wriggling around trying to escape.
Mills reaches up to try and control the position but Nahil seems to have an arm triangle now! Uh oh! Mills rolls and tries to escape and now Nahil has his back!
So, who will make the next big move? In this position it could be crucial.

Mills manages to reverse the position and now he's in Nahil's guard. Nice work there by Mills.
Nahil will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

Nahil is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.
