Gilas is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by Remember The Name - Fort Minor. Rafael Gomez has the edge in experience - let's see if he can make that count tonight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A solid leg kick lands there for Gomez.

Gilas drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
Gomez wants to get back to his feet but Gilas is in a dominant position and won't allow it.

Gilas tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Gilas has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!

Gilas is working to isolate an arm here. It's a telegraphed submission attempt but he's gone for it anyway - and he's got it! Gilas extends the arm and Gomez is forced to tap!
