The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Daly avoids a punch combination nicely.
Oviedo misses with a double jab.
Daly throws a right hand that misses
and Oviedo connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
We've been hearing reports that Oviedo has been drilling takedowns in recent sessions so let's see if that has an impact on the result of this fight.
Oviedo throws a one two combo.
It looks like Don Daly has been cut.
Daly throws a lazy right hand but Oviedo sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.

Oviedo jumps guard and drags Daly to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back.
Daly content to sit in guard, stalling... Great. Oh but he could get punished here because Oviedo has locked up a guillotine! Oviedo's face is contorted as he sqeezes tight on the submission attempt - will he finish? Daly is holding on here and Oviedo must be using up a lot of energy. Daly has gone limp! He's out! He's out cold! Oviedo gets to his feet, tossing aside his stricken foe. Arms raised, he milks the applause from the crowd. Great submission!

A very excited looking Jorge Oviedo rambled incoherently for about 5 minutes post fight about how awesome he is. It was kinda funny for a while but then everyone got annoyed.
