The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Savage throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd.
Savage fakes a jab and throws a low kick but Beast checks it well.

Beast shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat.

Beast thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Beast passes Savage's right leg, so he's now in half guard.

Beast is trying to work for a kimura but Savage is defending well.
We've been hearing good reports from Beast's training camp. Apparently he has been rolling around with some good quality BJJ practitioners and has been sharpening his skills. Let's see if that has an impact on the fight today.

Beast is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Savage doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Beast.

Beast seems like he's working for an arm triangle here. He's freed his trapped foot and he's rotating nicely. Savage is in big trouble! He's tapping out! This one is aaaaaaaaaaaall over!
