PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Jason Bishop (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Lucio Migliacino (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Well, the cameraman is lingering on a pretty young lady for a bit too long there. Keep your eyes on the fighters buddy or you'll miss the fighter intros!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Migliacino closes the distance and lands a one-two.
Bishop keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
Migliacino closes this distance looking for a takedown but Bishop circles away.

Bishop drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Migliacino manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Bishop has Migliacino in his guard.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Migliacino is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Bishop could do with loosing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
Migliacino is looking to take a break and control but Bishop is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

Bishop has his foot on Migliacino's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Migliacino works his way back into a safe position though.

Let's hope that Migliacino has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.

Despite being in the dominant position, Lucio Migliacino just isn't active enough and the referee decides to stand the fighters back up.

Bishop has an omoplata and is looking to use it perhaps as a submission or perhaps to transition. Migliacino is in a bit of discomfort here, but he's managed to free himself and has dived into side control! That didn't work out too well for Bishop .
