The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kiiruna takes a swing at Gouveia's ribcage but misses.
Kiiruna misses with a wild body shot.
Gouveia half committed to a counter leg kick.
Kiiruna throws a right hand that Gouveia ducks under and follows up with a left that Gouveia also avoids with ease.
Gouveia attempts a counter takedown but Kiiruna avoids it well and moves away.
Gouveia fails with the takedown.
Kiiruna darts in and out, connecting with a jab.
Kiiruna with a nice cross.

Gouveia decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.
Gouveia stalling.
Gouveia wants to lay and pray for a moment but Kiiruna keeps working.

Gouveia decides to return to a standing position.

Gouveia shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Kiiruna lands a nice shot to the body.
Gouveia takes a jab on the nose. He smiles like he loves it and keeps coming.
Gouveia wants to clinch up but Kiiruna keeps it at a distance.
Kiiruna throws a body shot but no joy.
Kiiruna digs a good hook to Gouveia's body.
Gouveia is breathing heavily.
Kiiruna tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Gouveia was well out of range. Poor timing from Kiiruna.
Kiiruna takes a step towards his opponent and connects with a left hand, before circling away.

Kiiruna closes the distance and pushes Gouveia back into the cage.
Both fighters working to control the clinch.
A quick uppercut on the inside from Kiiruna.
Gouveia can't break the clinch.
Kiiruna stays in close to his opponent and throws a right hand to the body.
Gouveia has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Kiiruna is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.

Oh Gouveia is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Kiiruna lands an uppercut.
Kiiruna creates some distance for himself and unleashes a massive uppercut that sends Gouveia's eyes rolling into the back of his head! Gouveia drops to his knees and Kiiruna pours it on with more strikes until the referee steps in to end the bout!
