The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Maria with a poor takedown
and Old counters with a lovely straight right hand!
A momentary lapse in concentration from Maria enables Old to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Maria manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.
Old with a couple of shots to the head there. Not particularly brutal.
Old cracks Maria with a solid left hand.
Old is working the ground and pound from guard. He might want to try advancing position though to get more of an impact.
Old thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.
Old makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Old drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Old jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.
Old chips away with some ground and pound.
Maria is rocked!
Old working in close now, lands a nice elbow to the side of Maria's head.
Maria is still in real trouble! Can Old finish him?
Old working some strikes from top position.
Old drops back looking for a submission - "I'm sorry sir, but I'm gunna break your leg" says Old as he cranks on the unfortunate limb! Maria screams and taps out before any major damage is done! Don't mess with Old! Nice submission victory there!
