Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Myer Barnes (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Bubba Walker (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Walker has chosen What You Know as his entrance music. The key to victory for Myer Barnes has got to be keeping the fight on the feet.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Barnes shoots in looking for a takedown. Walker tries to sprawl out of it but Barnes keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Walker manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.

Walker dives in and scores a takedown into Barnes's guard.
Walker throws a big right hand that misses.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Walker is sitting in guard, working some ground and pound.
Barnes looking to sweep here. No luck so far.
Walker trying to control the position from guard on top but Barnes is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Walker wants to pass the guard but Barnes is keeping the position.

Walker throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Barnes works some decent striking defense from the bottom.

Walker drops back, looking for a kneebar! Barnes looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Barnes looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Barnes!

Walker tries to escape but Barnes is in control.
Barnes throws an elbow but Walker slips to the side and avoids it well.

Walker bucks up and manages to escape back to his feet!
Walker misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
Barnes seem to be loading up, looking for a big counter.

Barnes darts in looking for a takedown but Walker gets double underhooks and turns Barnes into the cage.

Walker looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into side control! Oh, that's bad for Barnes!
Walker tries to move to mount but Barnes blocks the move with his legs.

Walker is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Barnes has escaped the position, nice work there.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Barnes prevents Walker from moving into mount.

Walker throwing shots but missing, from side control.
Barnes is breathing heavily.

Walker looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything.

Walker is trying to get an arm triangle but Barnes is defending well.

Walker thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.

Walker working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it.

Walker advances nicely into full mount.

Walker is looking to secure an arm. He's managed it! He's pivoting for an armbar - that looks tight! But Barnes has managed to get out of it and now he's in a dominant position. Nice work from Barnes!

Walker has managed to wall walk up one of the corner posts to get back to his feet. Barnes is pushing him up against the cage, looking to control the position.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
