Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Corey Anderson!
The judges for this bout are Chad Campbell, Bruno Lombardi and Lou da Vinci.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Anderson clinches up with Carson and pushes him back against the cage.
Carson goes for a takedown in the clinch but Anderson prevents it.
Carson trying to control the position but instead, Anderson has worked for underhooks and has pushed Carson into the cage.
Carson is looking to control Anderson's arms but Anderson gets an underhook and turns him. Now Carson has his back to the cage.
Nice body punch from Anderson - that landed with a thud.

Carson has dropped down and is working for a takedown. Anderson is trying to keep an underhook but Carson manages to get the takedown into half guard.
Anderson wants to improve his position but Carson is controlling well.

Carson gets to his feet - back to striking we go!
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

The fight moves into the clinch position.

Anderson drags the fight down to the ground.
Carson wants to stand and escape but instead Anderson has hit a sweep and he's now on top in guard.


That's one minute gone in the round.
Anderson trying to control the position from guard on top but Carson is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Anderson looking to control the position here, rather than advance.
Carson looking to sweep here. No luck so far.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer.

Carson looking for submissions from the bottom but instead Anderson passes into side control.
Carson is trying to control Anderson's posture but Anderson avoids it.
Carson has one of Anderson's arms on lockdown, trying to prevent him from doing any damage.
Carson is looking to regain half guard here but Anderson keeps moving and retains side control.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
A lull in the action here as Anderson stalls from top position.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Anderson working the ground and pound but Carson is defending the strikes.
Carson holds on to Anderson's head and controls the position momentarily.
Carson could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
Carson tries to bench press Anderson off him but Anderson keeps the position.
Carson is trying to get back to half guard. He's pushing on Anderson's leg. He's managed it. Nice work.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.
Carson is doing well to avoid being mounted. He's controlling the position at the moment.

Anderson is working for a kimura but Carson is defending it quite comfortably.
Carson slips a foot under and gets full guard. Nice work.
Anderson would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Anderson throwing strikes but missing.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Corey Anderson dominated that round.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!



Anderson has closed the distance and engaged Carson in a clinch.

Anderson pulls guard successfully.
Anderson has a closed guard, preventing Carson from standing up.
Anderson avoiding any damage from the ground and pound.
Anderson utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.
Carson wants to stand and escape but instead Anderson has hit a sweep and he's now on top in guard.

Anderson wants to control from the top but Carson keeps moving.

Carson is looking for a triangle but Anderson pushes his legs off easily.
Carson not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Carson looking to hit a scissor sweep but Anderson is one step ahead there.
Carson is trying to keep Anderson in close.
Corey Anderson has got the better of the ground game so far.
Carson bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Anderson's guard.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.

Carson stands and steps away. Anderson gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game.
Carson wants to clinch.

Anderson fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Carson, pushing him back against the cage.
Carson wants to take the fight to the mat but Anderson manages to get underhooks and keep the fight in the clinch.
Carson fails to pull guard.
A head punch blocked on the inside by Anderson.
Stalling in the clinch from Anderson.
Anderson controlling the action here for a moment.
Carson is trying to pull guard but Anderson has him pressed against the cage.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Arlen Carson. That's going to take a lot out of him.

That's three minutes gone in the round.

Anderson breaks the clinch.

Anderson closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.

Anderson is fighting off a takedown attempt but Carson is just too persistent for him and manages to trip Anderson to the mat. Anderson regains guard as soon as the fighters hit the mat.

Carson gets to his feet - Anderson follows without any prompting.
Carson walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head.

Anderson moves into the clinch.
Carson jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Anderson walks away with a smile on his face. Carson gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.

Nice combo by Anderson! Oh, that's hurt him - Carson falls to the canvas and Anderson follows him into side control.


Carson is rocked!


It looks like Arlen Carson has been cut.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Anderson decides to stand back up. Anderson steps back and let's Carson get back to his feet.
Oh Carson is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!

Anderson gets a big slam - oh, Carson is out! Carson is out! That's a nasty KO!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:57 of round 2, we have a winner by way of KO (Slam). Corey Anderson!
Corey Anderson bigged himself up after the win. The crowd seemed to love it.
