PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Zakari Moss (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Tatsuzo Fukuda (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 10 - 8 - 0, fighting out of London, Zakari Moss!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 6 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, Tatsuzo Fukuda!
The judges for this bout are Phil Schofield, Steven Brown and James Atkins.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A jab lands there for Fukuda.
A shot to the body from Moss misses
and Fukuda counters with a right hand to the body.
Zakari Moss seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Fukuda swings for the body but Moss moves out of range.
Moss is looking to counter punch.
Moss is trying hard to land a takedown here. Fukuda sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.
Fukuda let fly with a counter punch to the body but it didn't land.
Fukuda misses with a body shot.
Fukuda finds nothing but air with that leg kick attempt.
Fukuda throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Fukuda has his head slapped from side to side by a 3 punch combination. That must have hurt him.
Moss definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight.
Good shot there by Moss.
Horrible takedown attempt by Moss or perhaps it was just good defense by Fukuda, which made it look bad.
Fukuda ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Moss moves away.

Moss closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Moss thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.

Moss has hold of Fukuda's arm here. He's working for an Americana. It looks like he might have it! Fukuda tries to escape but he's just digging himself in deeper - Moss cranks the arm and Fukuda screams in pain! The ref makes a decision and ends the fight before the tap - no complains from Fukuda, who is just happy to have his arm attached to his body.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:18 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Americana). Zakari Moss!
