Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Zackary Nixon (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Chale Duffy (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 5 - 0, fighting out of New York, Zackary Nixon!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Chale Duffy!
The judges for this bout are Joseph Jones, Franklyn Lucas and John Kavanagh.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Duffy throws a head kick but Nixon moves out of range.
Duffy throws a nice looking combination but Nixon bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Some wild striking there from Duffy.

Duffy gets the takedown into side control.
Duffy taking a breather here.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Nixon wings away with a couple of strikes but they don't land.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Nixon is moving his hips around well on the bottom and has managed to get back to half guard.

Nixon tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Duffy manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.

Nixon gets in close and instigates a clinch.
Duffy wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Nixon has him pressed against the cage.

Duffy has Nixon pressed up against the cage. He's trying to work for a single leg takedown. Duffy pulls back from the cage and twists to the side, sending Nixon tumbling to the mat - Duffy dives into Nixon's guard.
Duffy is looking to pass into half guard but Nixon pushes him away with his feet and jumps on top - now Nixon is in guard.

Nixon is fighting to break Duffy's control of his arms but Duffy is doing a good job of controlling the position at the moment.
Nixon is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position.

Nixon has taken the fight to the clinch.
Duffy keeps the fight in the clinch, despite Nixon's efforts to push away.
Nixon will no doubt start fighting again in a minute but for now he's just having a little rest, leaning Duffy up against the cage.

Duffy has hold of one of Nixon's legs. Nixon is fighting the takedown attempt but Duffy gets the trip and lands the takedown into guard.
Duffy wants to control from the top but Nixon keeps moving.
Duffy is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions.

Nixon will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

Nixon escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Duffy gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
Nixon is striking off his back. Duffy thinks nothing of it though and passes easily into half guard.
Nixon really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

Nixon is trying to get back to full guard.
Duffy is trying to control. Nixon wants to improve his position but can't escape this time.

Nixon with the active half guard here but Duffy passes nicely into side control.
Duffy lands a knee to the body and a forearm to the face.

Nixon is trying to buck Duffy off.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Nixon is looking to reverse the position.
Nixon pushes Duffy away and creates a bit of space to escape. He's almost out here... but no, Duffy gets a good hold of his legs and remains firmly in side control.
Duffy has been the more effective fighter overall so far.
Nixon sneaks back into half guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Nixon has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Duffy is working away from the top position though.
Nixon gets back to full guard.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Nixon is looking to sweep but instead, Duffy has passed into half guard.
Duffy wants to lay and pray for a moment but Nixon keeps working.

Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Duffy thows a huge punch but Nixon dodges it nicely.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity.
Chale Duffy seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Duffy will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Chale Duffy showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action! This is the final round!

Nixon is starting to get sloppy and is letting his hands down. Duffy just took advantage and landed a stinging jab. Oh! Now a right hook, right on the button! Nixon has gone limp and this one is over!
