Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Alberto Del Rio (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Cedric Caraan (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Del Rio comes to the cage accompanied by Requiem for a dream. Caraan is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: TubThumping(I get Knockdown). Cedric Caraan has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Don Winkell, Timothy Bukovac and Jack Bonds.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Del Rio tries to close the distance and clinch but Caraan swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Del Rio darts in and clinches Caraan up against the cage.
Caraan blocks the elbow strike.
Del Rio tries a knee to the head but he's missed.
Del Rio turns his back and goes for a hip toss. It's a bit messy but it gets the job done and Del Rio manages to end up in side control.
Caraan tries to improve position but can't.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Del Rio wants to stand but Caraan is controlling his arm.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Caraan tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Del Rio wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.

Caraan is sneaking out the side here. He's bucked Del Rio off and has taken his back!

Del Rio is displaying good submission defense - not really looking in danger of submitting to the rear naked choke at the moment. That could change in an instant of course if Caraan gets his way!

Caraan is persistently looking for the submission but Del Rio is defending it well.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Del Rio defending nicely against the rear naked choke attempt.
Caraan goes for a risky armbar from back mount and it's not paid off. Del Rio escapes and is now in half guard on top.

Del Rio tries to stand but can't do so whilst Caraan controls his leg.
Caraan is looking for a sweep. Del Rio is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
Del Rio is trying to get back to his feet now but his leg is trapped.
Del Rio prevents Caraan from improving his position.
Del Rio knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Caraan on the ground.
Caraan looking for submissions from an awkward position here.
Caraan felt the need to train up his defensive grappling in the buildup to the fight. Presumably he was expecting to be in a difficult position like this, so let's see if he can get out of it.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Del Rio wants to pass to mount but Caraan is defending the position.
Del Rio moves nicely into side control.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that Alberto Del Rio will probably get the nod.

Del Rio fails in his attempt to clinch.
Caraan swats away the attempt to clinch by Del Rio.
Caraan flicks out a counter leg kick but Del Rio steps away.
The fight moves into the clinch position.
Del Rio creates a bit of distance and throws an elbow that only just misses.

Caraan is trying to pull guard but Del Rio turns him against the cage and we stay in the clinch.

Del Rio jumps guard and drags Caraan to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back.
Caraan drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Del Rio manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Caraan has Del Rio in his guard.
Del Rio got a little sloppy there for a moment and Caraan has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Del Rio has managed to get both his arms back between Caraan's legs - danger averted.
Alberto Del Rio overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
Del Rio wants to control from the top but Caraan keeps moving.

Del Rio is looking to stand up but Caraan won't let him.
Caraan working away from the bottom but not quite defensive enough there because Del Rio has passed into half guard!
Caraan is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Del Rio's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Del Rio's back!
Caraan is working on the RNC. He looks like he's got it but Del Rio won't tap... Oh, he's out! The ref rips Caraan off his unconscious opponent!
