Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Lonje Moco (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Cletus Kasady (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The crowd seem to be enjoying Kasady's choice of entrance music: Carnage Theme. Cletus Kasady has the eye of the tiger tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 20 - 26 - 1, fighting out of Las Vegas, Lonje Moco!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Cletus Kasady!
The judges for this bout are Alan Glass, Daniel Franklin and Robert Twigg.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Moco wants to clinch up but Kasady keeps it at a distance.

It looks like Lonje Moco has been cut.
Moco wants to clinch but Kasady slips to the side
and Kasady cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.

Moco tries to counter by moving into the clinch but Kasady manages to circle out of the way.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

The fight moves into the clinch position.
Moco prevents the takedown attempt.
Lonje Moco has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Cletus Kasady.
Kasady is trying to break the clinch but Moco is controlling him.

Kasady has dropped down and is looking to force the takedown but it's defended by Moco after a bit of a struggle.

Kasady has Moco pressed up against the cage. He's trying to work for a single leg takedown. Kasady pulls back from the cage and twists to the side, sending Moco tumbling to the mat - Kasady dives into Moco's guard.

Kasady cracks Moco with a big right hand but Moco just smiles back at him and invites him to have another go.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Kasady takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists.
Kasady thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas.

Moco holding onto his opponent's waist for dear life, as Kasady tries to land some strikes to get him to release his grip.

Moco went nuts there looking for a big combo counter but none of the flurry connected.

Kasady fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Moco sprawls well initially but Kasady persists and gets the takedown into half guard.
Moco moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard.
Kasady wants to control from the top but Moco keeps moving.
Cletus Kasady has got the better of the ground game so far.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Kasady sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Moco's guard.
Kasady has been the more effective fighter overall so far.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity.
Moco is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
Kasady tries a counter takedown but it's more of a dummy move, and he uses it to push himself away.
Moco wants to clinch up but Kasady keeps it at a distance.

Kasady tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Moco swivels and escapes.
Kasady has tried to improve his agility in the runup to this fight.
Moco will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Lonje Moco is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.

A momentary lapse in concentration from Moco enables Kasady to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Moco manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.
Moco is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.
Moco is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Kasady is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him.

Kasady seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.

Cletus Kasady showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
