Koks comes to the cage accompanied by DMX - We right here. Shoddy Body is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 4 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Rafal Koks!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 11 - 7 - 0, fighting out of New York, Shoddy Body!
The judges for this bout are Franklyn Lucas, Chad Campbell and Reed Andrews.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Body needs to keep his hands up - Koks had a free shot at his head there.
A nice leg kick lands there from Koks.
Koks scores with a nice head shot.
Koks getting the better of the striking in that exchange.

Body shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Koks napping and manages to drive through into side control!
Koks might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.

Body working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it.
Koks gets back to half guard.
Koks wants to improve his position but Body is controlling well.
Koks works his way to full guard. Good work.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Body wants to control from the top but Koks keeps moving.
Koks looking for a sweep. Not yet Koks, not yet.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Body trying to pass the guard. He's being very persistent here but Koks manages to land a sweep and now he's on top!


Body looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
Koks seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Body can do anything to dispel that myth.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.

Body has his foot on Koks's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Koks works his way back into a safe position though.

Koks stands and steps away. Body gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game.
We've been told by Koks's head coaches at School Of Fighting that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight.
Koks lands a glancing blow to the side of Body's head.
Koks leaves Body with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
A jab lands there for Koks.

Koks lands a left and a right that send Body crashing to the mat, dazed. Koks thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!


Body is rocked!
Koks lands with a nice low kick. That'll leave a bruise.
Body is still on wobbly legs! Can Koks finish him?
Koks cracks Body with a left hook right on the temple and Body goes down! He's out! Referee! Stop the fight! Koks lands a few more punches before the dopey ref steps in - hopefully Body is OK!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:51 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Rafal Koks!
