With a record of 12 - 8 - 0, fighting out of New York, Saladin Hussain !
The judges for this bout are Bruno Lombardi, Alyssa Summers and Jorge Garcia.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Snow tries to land a body kick

and Hussain counters with a nice double leg into side control. Snow won't be happy with that.
Snow wants to control but Hussain postures up.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Hussain looking to punish the body of his opponent here but Snow is avoiding damage well.
Snow is trying to get back to half guard. He's pushing on Hussain 's leg. He's managed it. Nice work.
Hussain is keen to just control but Snow is a slippery customer.

Snow tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Hussain paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Snow blocks a jab.
Snow lunges at Hussain with a hook that half lands and is half blocked by Hussain 's hand.
Hussain checks a low kick from Snow.
A countering left hand to the body from Hussain misses.
Hussain takes one on the chin but seems OK.

Snow looks to land a combination but Hussain avoids it well.
This has been an exciting period of action!

Hussain lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.

It appears Snow was looking to counter with a kick there.

Snow clobbers Hussain with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise.
Snow tries to work over Hussain 's front leg with a kick but Hussain checks it.
Hussain changes levels for a counter takedown but doesn't follow through with his attempt.
Snow connects with a lovely jab that went straight through the gap between Hussain 's hands.

Snow lands a leg kick and bounces back out of range.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Hussain in half guard on the top. He's looking for a kimura... He's got it locked and he's managed to free his trapped foot. Snow tries to escape but it's on too tight and he has to tap! Great BJJ skills there from Hussain !
