The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Abrahams uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Kartes.

Kartes darts in looking for a takedown but Abrahams gets double underhooks and turns Kartes into the cage.

Abrahams could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
Abrahams feints a jab promting Kartes to slip. Abrahams then demonstrates his capabilities by jabbing again. Kartes slips again and ducks right into an uppercut.

Kartes manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Abrahams manages to get himself to full guard.

Abrahams throws his legs up looking to secure a triangle. Oh, that looks pretty tight, I gotta say! Kartes escapes and throws Abrahams's legs to the side, diving into side control!

Well Kartes has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
