Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Brant Murray (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Michel Goujon (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Goujon fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Murray, pushing him back against the cage.

Goujon ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Goujon no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard.
Murray is looking to work some ground and pound but Goujon has wrist control.

Goujon has his foot on Murray's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Murray works his way back into a safe position though.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Murray accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
Murray is looking to work some ground and pound but Goujon has wrist control.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

Goujon wants to get back to his feet but he's too absorbed in his own little project and Murray manages to pass to side control.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Goujon is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity.

Murray wants the takedown. Goujon is fighting it off but Murray persists and manages to bring the fight to the ground, ending up in Goujon's guard against the cage.

Michel Goujon seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Murray has not gone for a single takedown so far in this fight, which seems like a very strange tactic when you consider that he has the superior wrestling and BJJ.
