Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Bic Mitchum!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Andy Rodgers!
The judges for this bout are Bruno Hogan, Ron Honeybunn and John Mangel.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Rodgers misses with a double jab.
Rodgers looks to land a combination but Mitchum avoids it well.
Rodgers misses with a series of wild punches.
Mitchum throws a looping overhand right but Rodgers ducks down to avoid it.
Rodgers looks to land a combination. Mitchum sees it coming but can only parry a couple of the shots.
Mitchum takes one to the side of the head.

Mitchum shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
Rodgers avoiding any damage from the ground and pound.
Mitchum slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard.
Rodgers really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Mitchum. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Rodgers working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Mitchum.
Mitchum is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Rodgers avoiding any damage from the ground and pound.
Mitchum looking to control the position here, rather than advance.
Rodgers wants to get back to his feet but Mitchum is in a dominant position and won't allow it.
We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace.
Mitchum scores with a decent looking elbow strike.
Mitchum is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Rodgers slips a jab and a cross from Mitchum.
Rodgers listening to his corner there, landing a nice uppercut.
Rodgers stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush.
Mitchum throws a wild body kick that Rodgers sees coming a mile off.

Mitchum shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard.
Still in half guard, Mitchum seems content to control.

Mitchum decides to stand up.
Mitchum looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Rodgers is fending him off so far but Mitchum persists. Nope, Rodgers circles away and we're back to standing.
Mitchum looks to be in better condition than last time we saw him fight. Obviously he's been working hard on his cardio.
Rodgers keeping at a good range here, avoiding a leg kick.
It seemed like Rodgers was going to counter with the hook but didn't fully commit to it.
Rodgers lands with a hook. Mitchum tried to avoid it but it clipped the top of his head.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Rodgers works Mitchum's body with a nice hook.
Rodgers leaves Mitchum with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
Mitchum fails to land with a series of punches.
Rodgers goes to the watering hole and comes back with a big thumbs up from the judges as he scores a three punch combo.
Mitchum closes this distance looking for a takedown but Rodgers circles away.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Bic Mitchum. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Mitchum fails with the takedown
and Rodgers counters with a nice body shot.
Rodgers misses with the combination.
Rodgers looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.
Mitchum tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Rodgers defends well and Mitchum ends up having to push Rodgers into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch.
Rodgers misses with a double jab.
Rodgers fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Mitchum looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.
Mitchum walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head.
Mitchum shoots for a double leg takedown but Rodgers sprawls well. He's pushed Mitchum's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Mitchum is breathing heavily.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Rodgers paws at his opponent with the jab and then lunges in with a straight, right on the button.
Rodgers lands a jab to Mitchum's midsection.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Mitchum swings for the body but Rodgers moves out of range.
Rodgers misses with a series of wild punches.
Rodgers dips down and scores with a jab to the body.
Rodgers scores with a body shot.
Rodgers tests Mitchum's chin there with a solid looking shot.
Mitchum has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Rodgers finds it's way round the side to connect with Mitchum's head.
Mitchum has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from Mitchum there as he acknowledges the shot.
A shot to the liver by Rodgers. Beautiful body shot.
Rodgers has used his reach advantage pretty well so far tonight.
Rodgers lands with an uppercut that bounces Mitchum off the cage and back into range.
Rodgers fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches Mitchum on the side of the head.
Rodgers keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
Decent striking displayed by Rodgers there.


Mitchum is rocked!
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Andy Rodgers dominated that round.
Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin!


Mitchum tries to move into range but Rodgers moves to the side and lands with a nice right hand.
Oh Mitchum is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Rodgers connects with a body shot.
Rodgers gets in close and tags Mitchum with a short punch that almost sends Mitchum to the mat! Oh Mitchum is in big trouble! He turns his back on Rodgers, trying to create some distance but Rodgers rushes him, striking wildly and Mitchum goes down! The referee tackles Rodgers into the cage to end the fight! Rodgers is one violent man!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:10 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Andy Rodgers!
In defeat, Bic Mitchum stepped up to the mic, saying 'I will not disappoint next time!'.
