Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between German Ashley (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Billy Bob (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). German Ashley has the edge in experience - let's see if he can make that count tonight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bob tries for a takedown but Ashley circles away easily

and Ashley counters by moving into the clinch.
Bob is trying to work for a single leg takedown but Ashley pulls him back up using the underhooks.
Ashley manages to get underhooks and slows down the pace for a moment.

Bob is pushing Ashley up against the cage, for a bit of lean and pray action. Action being used the in the loosest possible sense of the word.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Ashley has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Bob is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.

Bob goes for a double leg but Ashley avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Ashley continues to drive forward.

Bob ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Bob no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard.
Ashley stands up over Bob, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head.

Bob jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Ashley walks away with a smile on his face. Bob gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.
Bob shoots in for a takedown but Ashley shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.

Well, he's not going to score with shots like that. A lazy body kick attempt from Ashley.
Despite the aggression on Bob's face he doesn't fully commit to the counter.

Ashley seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Bob for as long as he can get away with.

Billy Bob is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight.
Ashley throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
