Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Berry Chambers (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Alex Shaw (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Shaw has a niggling injury. He would have liked to come in 100% fit but that's not always possible. This should be a great matchup!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Alex Shaw!
The judges for this bout are George Francis, Alan Glass and Frank Dennis.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Chambers gets tackled into the cage by Shaw. Shaw maintains the clinch.
Shaw is trying to pull guard but Chambers turns him against the cage and we stay in the clinch.

Chambers breaks the clinch.

Shaw clinches up with Chambers and pushes him back against the cage.
Shaw is trying to break the clinch but Chambers has him pressed against the cage.
Chambers lands a glancing elbow in the clinch.

Chambers decides to pull guard.
Chambers lands a beautiful sweep and he's now moved into his opponent's guard.

Shaw looks winded!
Chambers stands up over Shaw, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head.

Chambers drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Chambers jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Shaw has butterfly guard. He's looking to stand up here. He pushes Chambers off him and springs to his feet nicely. The crowd applauds.
Shaw shoots in for a double leg but Chambers sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

Shaw closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.

Chambers ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Chambers no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard.
Chambers manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Shaw manages to get himself to full guard.

Chambers will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

Shaw is working an open guard so Chambers takes the opportunity to get back to his feet.

Chambers instigates a clinch.

Chambers has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Chambers stands up and waves to Shaw to follow him.

Chambers forces Shaw back against the cage and clinches.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Chambers pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.

Shaw moves into range and clinches up with Chambers.

Chambers escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.

Shaw wants to break free but Chambers has control.
Shaw is looking to break free of the clinch but Chambers has double underhooks.

Chambers shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard.
Chambers takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Shaw is looking to escape.

We're hearing some news coming in from back stage. It's official - Shaw has eaten all the pies!

Chambers has hold of the far side arm. He's working for the Kimura, can Shaw defend it? Chambers steps over the head and cranks it - Shaw is tapping out! That was textbook stuff right there - nice submission victory for Chambers!
