The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lincoln missing with a left hand there. Nixon was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one.

Lincoln darts in and clinches Nixon up against the cage.
Lincoln stops a takedown attempt from Nixon.
Nixon goes for a takedown in the clinch but Lincoln prevents it.
Lincoln is defending well against a takedown attempt.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Garland Nixon. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Nixon trying to stall but Lincoln improves his position.

Lincoln gets a trip takedown into half guard.
Lincoln lands a big shot. The thud that echoes around the arena is like music to the fans' ears.
Lincoln takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists.
Nixon regains full guard. Nicely done.
Lincoln with a couple of shots to the head there. Not particularly brutal.

Nixon has his foot on Lincoln's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Lincoln works his way back into a safe position though.

Lincoln lands a nice shot whilst sitting in his opponent's guard.

Lincoln loads up on a big left hand. Nixon felt that one! He's just covering up now, not defending himself intelligently - Lincoln looks towards the ref and unloads with 3 more big shots and the ref has no choice but to stop the fight! Nixon can't hide his disappointment, as Lincoln celebrates the victory.

After the fight, George Lincoln was humble in paying tribute to his opponent but made it clear he wants to go on to bigger and better things. It seemed to go down well with the crowd who cheered him loudly.
