The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nugent throws a right hand that Alderich ducks under and follows up with a left that Alderich also avoids with ease.
Nugent swinging wildly here.
Alderich throws a quick head kick that skims the top of Nugent's head.

It looks like David Nugent has been cut.
Alderich connects with a high kick.
Alderich lands a leg kick and bounces back out of range.
Nugent throws a sloppy head kick
and he gets countered with a snapping leg kick.
Nugent takes a head kick and shrugs it off.
Nugent doesn't succeed with the takedown
and Alderich counters with a body kick that stops Nugent in his tracks momentarily.
Nugent throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and Alderich counters with a nice low kick that buckles Nugent's knee momentarily.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Alderich throws a head kick that half lands.

Nugent is rocked!
Alderich cracks the inside of Nugent's front leg.
Alderich lands with an uppercut that bounces Nugent off the cage and back into range.
Nugent is still on wobbly legs! Can Alderich finish him?
Nugent fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.

Alderich connects with a leg kick. He turned his hip over nicely there.
Nugent seems to have recovered his senses.
Alderich throws a head kick but Nugent moves out of range.
Nugent is loading up here, looking for a big counter of his own.
