Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between brian surr (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Otto Reinold (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). surr comes to the cage accompanied by momma said knock you out!. The fight MMA fans around the world have waited their entire lives for!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 4 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, brian surr!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Otto Reinold!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
surr shoots in looking for a takedown. Reinold tries to sprawl out of it but surr keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Reinold manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
surr shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Reinold pinned against the cage. Reinold gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.

Reinold gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here.
Reinold is looking to control surr's arms but surr gets an underhook and turns him. Now Reinold has his back to the cage.
Reinold wants a takedown.
surr working some nice short punches in the clinch.

surr breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Reinold is looking to land body kicks.
surr swats away the attempt to clinch by Reinold.
Reinold moves in looking to clinch but surr pushes him off.
surr changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Reinold tries to avoid it but surr manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Reinold to the ground. Reinold escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for brian surr. That's going to take a lot out of him.

surr decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.
Reinold wants to control but surr is keeping busy and won't allow it.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Reinold regains full guard. Nicely done.
Reinold wants to sweep here but surr controlling him for the moment.
Reinold manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!

Reinold has control of surr's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and surr regains control of the situation pretty easily.
Reinold fails to advance to surr's back.
surr really trying hard to get back to half guard here.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Reinold works his way to his opponent's back.

Reinold looking for the RNC.
surr might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.

Reinold is looking for the choke from the back position but surr is controlling his hands well.

surr is in a bad position with Reinold working for a choke. surr manages to spin nicely into guard and the danger is over for the moment.

Reinold looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.

Reinold wants to hit a switch here but surr passes into full mount! Oh no, disaster for Reinold there!

Reinold is working to get back to half guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
surr controlling from mount.

surr tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Reinold wants to hold on but surr pushes him away.
Reinold is in all sorts of trouble here.
surr takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.
surr has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.
surr knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Reinold on the ground.
Reinold is looking to improve his position but surr isn't that keen on the idea.
Reinold slips a leg in and gets back to half guard.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Otto Reinold dominated that round.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.


surr will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from surr.
surr shoots in but Reinold avoids the takedown attempt easily.

Reinold drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.
Reinold stands and throws surr's legs to the side, diving into side control.
Reinold wants to control but surr is keeping him busy.

Reinold wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by surr, who protects the arm well.
Reinold passes to full mount! That's big trouble for surr!
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Reinold takes his opponent's back. Perhaps a chance to lock up a rear naked choke here.

Reinold is looking to control surr but surr is wriggling around and keeping busy.
Reinold wants to control but surr manages to buck him off and is now in Reinold's guard! Nice work there by surr!
Reinold looking to sweep here. No luck so far.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
surr tries to hold on but Reinold postures up.

surr defends a decent attempt at a guillotine from Reinold.

Reinold goes for an armbar but surr turns quickly into his guard - lovely anticipation from surr.
surr stopping the sweep attempt from Reinold.

surr stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Reinold swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Reinold tries to land a sweep but no joy.
Reinold is trying to control the position but surr postures up.
Reinold wants to sweep but no luck.

Reinold escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. surr gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
Reinold is trying to keep surr in close.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.
surr with a poor takedown

and Reinold counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.
Reinold wants to pass the guard but surr is keeping the position.
Reinold is persisting with the attempt to improve his position.
surr is trying to keep Reinold in close.
Reinold tries to free his leg and advance position but surr is retaining full guard.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Otto Reinold showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! Let's get this one finished - here comes the final round!



Reinold closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.
Reinold avoiding damage.
Reinold is working for a takedown up against the cage. He can't get it on this occasion though.
An uppercut on the inside fails to land for surr.
surr doesn't land with the attempted body shot.
Reinold has surr pushed against the cage.
surr fails to land with a short punch on the inside.
Reinold trying to stall but surr improves his position.

Reinold tightens his grip and picks surr up, before dumping him to the ground. surr manages to land in guard.
Reinold slips effortlessly into side control - very nice.
surr tries to buck Reinold off but Reinold is having none of it.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.

Reinold is trying to get an arm triangle but surr is defending well.
Reinold trying to control the action but surr is working from the bottom.

Reinold advances nicely into full mount.
surr stops Reinold from taking his back. Still, being mounted isn't any better.

Reinold goes for an armbar but he's fallen flat on his backside there and now surr is on top in guard.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.

Reinold working for submissions but it's allowed surr to get to half guard.
surr with a momentary lay and pray from half guard.
Otto Reinold has got the better of the ground game so far.
surr is thwarting Reinold's attempts to control the position.
Reinold is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of surr's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take surr's back!

surr defends a prolonged rear naked choke attempt and turns nicely into his opponent's guard.

Otto Reinold comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Reinold has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
