Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Matti Vanhoillinen, Marco Blurström and Anni Minnemäki.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Khalifa tries to close the distance and clinch up but Babak swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Babak throws a counter combo.
Horrible takedown attempt by Babak or perhaps it was just good defense by Khalifa, which made it look bad.
Khalifa shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Babak defends it nicely.
Babak throws a body kick that digs right into the meat.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Babak tries a counter takedown but it's more of a dummy move, and he uses it to push himself away.

and Babak counters with a good low kick that Khalifa was not able to check.
Babak throws a head kick that connects with a bit of head and a bit of hand.
It looks like Wiz Khalifa has been cut.

Babak tries to score a body lock takedown but Khalifa shows good agility there to stay on his feet.

You can see the frustration on Babak's face… He knows he is in trouble unless he improves his position sooner rather than later.

Khalifa is working for the choke. He's slipped one arm under the chin. Babak has to defend the other arm for all he's worth... but Khalifa has managed to get that arm free too and he's tightening the choke! Babak taps out and looks absolutely disgusted with himself. Khalifa doesn't care though - he's delighted!
