Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Shawn Gilmore (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Leonard Luke (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Shawn Gilmore!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Leonard Luke!
The judges for this bout are Frank Dennis, Gwen Towbar and Daniel Franklin.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Gilmore gets caught flat footed, as Luke shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.
Gilmore looking for a sweep. Not yet Gilmore, not yet.
Luke stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Gilmore swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Luke is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Luke slips effortlessly into side control - very nice.
Gilmore really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
A bit of a lull in the action. I'm sure it will pick up again soon... even if the ref has to physically pick them up and put them back on their feet.

My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer.
It looks like Luke might be adopting somewhat of a lay and pray gameplan here, which I'm sure won't go down too well with the paying fans in attendance... Or the ring announcers come to think of it.

The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.

Luke misses with a wild combination.

Luke bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.

Luke wants to stand but Gilmore is controlling his arm.
A lull in the action here as Luke stalls from top position.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Gilmore struggling a bit here.

The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Luke tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.

A momentary lapse in concentration from Gilmore enables Luke to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Gilmore manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.
Gilmore has momentary wrist control but Luke slips an elbow through the middle.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Leonard Luke dominated that round.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.


Luke stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Luke wants it to stay on the feet.

Luke is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Gilmore's half guard.

Gilmore tries to regain full guard. Instead though, Luke has advanced to mount. Uh oh.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
A nice elbow there by Luke.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Luke avoids the attempt from Gilmore to control.
Luke looking to control and managing it successfully.
Gilmore taking shots to the head.


Gilmore is rocked!
Gilmore takes a big shot to the head but keeps on trying to improve his position.
Oh Gilmore is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!
Luke postures up and lands a whopping elbow - oh that's hurt Gilmore bigstyle! Two more strikes land for Luke and the fight is over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:59 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Leonard Luke!
