The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
McVeigh buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.
McVeigh feints a jab promting Rouhares to slip. McVeigh then demonstrates his capabilities by jabbing again. Rouhares slips again and ducks right into an uppercut.
Rouhares closes the distance and clinches up with McVeigh, looking for a takedown. Rouhares pushes McVeigh against the cage but McVeigh circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Rouhares fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with McVeigh, pushing him back against the cage.
Rouhares has hold of one of McVeigh's legs. McVeigh is fighting the takedown attempt but Rouhares gets the trip and lands the takedown into guard.

The ref is looking closely - Rouhares is covering up but the punishment is just too much and the ref steps in to stop the fight! Rouhares is staring into space, just thankful that the beatdown has ended. Brutal finish.
