PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Piolet Wilson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Rick Grimes (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Wilson might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Jaded. Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Wilson is looking to clinch.
Grimes tries to bum rush Wilson with a series of wild strikes but Wilson uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Wilson tries to counter by clinching up but Grimes breaks away and moves out of range.
Grimes connects with a leg kick. He turned his hip over nicely there.
Grimes pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Wilson was looking to counter that move with a punch but didn't quite pull the trigger.
Grimes plants his feet and lands a nice head kick!
Grimes shoots in looking for a takedown but Wilson manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Grimes's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
Wilson is looking to counter punch.
Grimes looks winded!
Grimes tries to clinch up but Wilson circles away and keeps his distance.
Grimes tries to close the distance and clinch but Wilson swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Wilson tries to counter by moving into the clinch but Grimes manages to circle out of the way.
Grimes has been working on his striking defense in training and it's paying off as Wilson is landing a low percentage of strikes.
Grimes throws a sloppy head kick
and Wilson connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.

It looks like Rick Grimes has been cut.
Grimes tries to clinch up.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

and Wilson counters with a series of strikes. Grimes will be more careful next time no doubt.

Wilson cracks Grimes with a big right hand that sends him to the floor! Grimes looks wobbly but he's sprung back up to his feet straight away… can Wilson finish him?

Wilson batters Grimes with a massive right followed by a huge left! Grimes is out on his feet looking like a zombie as Wilson lands a final crushing right hand to drop Grimes to the mat with a gruesome thud! Wilson is running around like a mad man after that fight and for good reason!
