The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Cruz rushes Fjodorow and presses him up against the ropes.
Fjodorow is trying to break the clinch but Cruz is controlling him.
An uppercut on the inside fails to land for Cruz.
Fjodorow manages to break the clinch.
Fjodorow keeps the fight on the outside.
Fjodorow looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
Cruz tries to close the distance and clinch up against the ropes but Fjodorow paws at him with a jab and circles away.
The fight stays on the outside here - Cruz looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Fjodorow cracks Cruz with a nice right hand that draws applause from the crowd.
It looks like Alex Cruz has been cut.
Cruz tries to close the distance and clinch but Fjodorow swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Fjodorow has been working on his striking defense in training and it's paying off as Cruz is landing a low percentage of strikes.
Cruz leaves his chin hanging out and Fjodorow seizes the opportunity with an uppercut! Cruz crumbles to the floor in a heap! The referee steps in and tends to the downed fighter! What a knockout!
