Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Msciwoj Kinseim (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Yuta Wakabayashi (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). This should be fireworks!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 4 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Msciwoj Kinseim!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Yuta Wakabayashi!
The judges for this bout are Sandra Marshall, Santiago Holmes and Bart Greer.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kinseim stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Kinseim wants it to stay on the feet.
Wakabayashi's coach down at THE GYM (20 Elite coaches on the Island !!!) was telling us pre-fight that they have been working on Wakabayashi's balance. Obviously they view that as a key factor in the outcome of this fight.
Kinseim looks exhausted already! Oh dear, he should have come in in better shape than this!
Wakabayashi swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Wakabayashi bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.
Kinseim lunges in with an uppercut that skims his opponent's chin.
Wakabayashi misses with a hook. Kinseim ducked under it nicely.
Kinseim fails to land with a series of punches.
Wakabayashi changes levels for a counter takedown but doesn't follow through with his attempt.

Wakabayashi feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
Wakabayashi wants to control from the top but Kinseim keeps moving.
Wakabayashi seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Wakabayashi drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Wakabayashi jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

Wakabayashi is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.
Kinseim seems to have improved his submission grappling technique since last time we saw him. Let's see if he can pull off a submission.
It looks like Wakabayashi might be adopting somewhat of a lay and pray gameplan here, which I'm sure won't go down too well with the paying fans in attendance... Or the ring announcers come to think of it.
Kinseim knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Wakabayashi on the ground.
Wakabayashi tries to free his leg and advance position but Kinseim is retaining full guard.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Wakabayashi advances to half guard.
Wakabayashi is just sitting in half guard, waiting for something to happen.
Wakabayashi passes to side control.
Wakabayashi misses with a strike but at least he's keeping busy, looking to cause some damage - that will still help him when it comes to the judges scorecards.

That's three minutes gone in the round.

Wakabayashi thowing strikes but they're hitting the gloves, not doing any damage.
Wakabayashi pushing the pace here, looking to move to his opponents back and work for a finish.
Kinseim blocking the ground and pound.
Wakabayashi sends his fist crashing into the mat - the crowd let out a collective ooooooh. Let's hope he's not broken it!

Wakabayashi has hold of Kinseim's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Kinseim manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.
Kinseim on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Kinseim tries to get out of the position.
Kinseim tries to hold on but Wakabayashi postures up.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Wakabayashi tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.
Wakabayashi has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
Kinseim is in a horrible position here, under a barrage of strikes, he's managing to avoid any damage.
Wakabayashi misses with a head shot.
Wakabayashi controlling the pace for now.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.

Wakabayashi throwing sloppy strikes here. Perhaps if he tightened up his striking from such a dominant position, he'd be able to finish easier.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Yuta Wakabayashi dominated that round.
OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.


A slow jab from Wakabayashi misses its intended target.
Wakabayashi throws a body punch but Kinseim moves out of range.
Kinseim lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Wakabayashi circles away quickly and effectively.
Kinseim tries to score a power double leg takedown but Wakabayashi sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Kinseim somewhat.

Wakabayashi closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Kinseim to the mat! Kinseim manages to get full guard.
Wakabayashi throws a big elbow that misses.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Wakabayashi advances to half guard.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Wakabayashi not throwing his punches with enough precision this time.

Wakabayashi seems like he's working for an arm triangle here. He's freed his trapped foot and he's rotating nicely. Kinseim is in big trouble! He's tapping out! This one is aaaaaaaaaaaall over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:58 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Arm Triangle). Yuta Wakabayashi!
