Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Phil Brooks!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Eddie Money!
The judges for this bout are Hugh Johnson, Topper Green and Steve Erwin.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Brooks fails with an attempt to clinch.
Money feints a straight left to the body, then turns around with a flashy move and hits Brookss jaw with a dramatic spinning back fist!
Money scores with a push kick.
Money keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
Brooks misses with a lunging right hand
and Money counters with a straight right hand.
Brooks shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Money but Money pushes him off and we're back to square one.
Money scores with a jab to the jaw of his opponent.

Brooks shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in side control! That's better than Brooks was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Brooks misses with an attempted head punch from side control.
Brooks really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

Brooks wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Money, who protects the arm well.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Brooks trying to control the position but Money is working away.
Money really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Brooks. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Money wants to get back to his feet but Brooks drags him back down.
Brooks creates some space and throws a big elbow, but Money sees it coming and moves his head just enough to avoid the strike.
The strikes coming from Brooks are missing the target in this wave of attacks.
Brooks is looking to take a break and control but Money is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.
Money parries the strikes from Brooks easily there. Brooks is wary of posturing up too much because it might enable Money to escape.
Brooks misses with the ground and pound.
Money is trying to buck Brooks off.
Brooks tries to land with some ground and pound but misses.

Brooks working away diligently from side control. Landing strikes effectively there - that will score him some points on the judges scorecards.
Money parries the strikes from Brooks easily there. Brooks is wary of posturing up too much because it might enable Money to escape.

You can see the frustration on Money's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.
Brooks throws a knee to the body but it doesn't do much damage.

Brooks looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Money tries to buck Brooks off but Brooks is having none of it.
Money can't do much from the bottom here.
Brooks has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Brooks tries to cartwheel into mount but he doesn't manage it.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Brooks content to control the pace. The referee will try and keep them active though.
The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Brooks throws an elbow but Money slips to the side and avoids it well.
Money is trying to control Brooks's posture but Brooks avoids it.
Money is looking for a sweep.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Brooks lands a knee to the body and a forearm to the face.
Brooks is looking to take a break and control but Money is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

Despite the aggression on Money's face he doesn't fully commit to the counter.
Brooks wants to clinch
and Money counters with a straight right hand.
Money's corner calls for a 1, 2 combination and Money duly obliges.
Money throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Money throws a combination. Brooks tries to block but a couple of punches get through.
Money avoids the body shot from Brooks.
And Money tries to counter it with a takedown but Brooks pushes his down on his head and steps out.
Money keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.

Money moves into the clinch.
Brooks is looking for a takedown up against the cage. Money gets underhooks though and prevents the takedown attempt.

Money has Brooks pressed up against the cage. He's trying to work for a single leg takedown. Money pulls back from the cage and twists to the side, sending Brooks tumbling to the mat - Money dives into Brooks's guard.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

Brooks working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Money doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Money manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Brooks is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.
