Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Sean Curry (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Daniel Davies (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Man, I cannot wait for this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 4 - 0, fighting out of London, Sean Curry!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, Daniel Davies!
The judges for this bout are Andrew Berry, Colin Fotheringham and Richard Clark.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
The fight stays on the outside here - Curry looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Davies fakes a jab and throws a low kick but Curry checks it well.

Davies looking for a takedown here - he's got it.
There's a bit of a scramble here and now Curry is on top in guard.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Curry won't allow Davies to get back to his feet.
Curry really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Curry drops back looking for a leg! Davies is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Davies manages to kick Curry off! Curry jumps back into Davies's guard.

Curry seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
Curry working in close now, lands a nice elbow to the side of Davies's head.
Davies thows some rabbit punches from the bottom but they don't do any damage.
Curry slips nicely into half guard, despite the strikes coming from Davies.

Curry is looking for a kimura but Davies is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Curry to get the leverage.

Davies is looking to control Curry's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Davies avoid being mounted?

The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity.

Davies drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.

We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Davies can do anything to dispel that myth.

Davies felt the need to train up his defensive grappling in the buildup to the fight. Presumably he was expecting to be in a difficult position like this, so let's see if he can get out of it.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Davies wants to get back to full guard.
Davies is trying to control but Curry manages to pass to mount!
Davies tries to lock up and control but Curry gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.

Curry takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.

Curry is working for the rear naked choke. He has one arm under the chin but Davies has hold of the other arm. A bit of a stalemate here.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.
Curry cracks Davies with a big elbow.
Curry wants to lay and pray for a moment but Davies keeps working.
Curry controls the position from side control.

The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.

Excellent takedown into side control there by Davies.
Davies takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.
Curry is sneaking out the side here. He's bucked Davies off and has taken his back!

Davies might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Curry haven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time.
Curry has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
So, who will make the next big move? In this position it could be crucial.
Curry gets his hands free as Davies looks to control.

And that's the end of the fight!
That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Sean Curry.
I think Curry has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
