The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Kronemeyer moves into the clinch.

Kronemeyer escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Franklin darts in looking for a takedown but Kronemeyer gets double underhooks and turns Franklin into the cage.

Kronemeyer drives through with a takedown into guard.

Franklin working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Kronemeyer doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Kronemeyer manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
Kronemeyer wants to control from the top but Franklin keeps moving.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Franklin looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.

Franklin trying to strike from the bottom but really, it's not the best position to be doing that from!
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Kronemeyer accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

Franklin pushes a forearm under Kronemeyer's chin to create some space. He's escaped his hips and pivoted quickly for an armbar! Can he extend the arm? Yes, Kronemeyer is tapping out! Damn, that was fast!
