The judges for this bout are Wagner Zegers, Albert Achterberg and Radbod Blank.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Diaz lets the fists fly and connects with a left straight followed by a right hook.
Wayne tries to clinch up.
Diaz throws a big counter combination but Wayne scrambles out of danger and avoids any damage.
Diaz connects with a single shot there.
Diaz avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Wayne tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Diaz manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Wayne fails with a takedown attempt.
Wayne walks into a left hand.
Diaz smiles there as he lands a nice right hand right on the button.
Diaz blocks the body kick.
A counter left hand to the body from Diaz misses its target.
Diaz scores with a three punch combo!
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Wayne fails with an attempt to clinch.
Diaz connects with a slap. Keep your fist closed son.
Wayne is rocked!
Diaz connects with a left and a right that sees a clearly hurt Wayne covering up! Diaz comes in with a big uppercut and Wayne goes doooown! He's slumped up against the cage, eyes staring blankly into space.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:51 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Strikes). Nick Diaz!
