Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Brent Perry (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Blackout Wondeer (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Brent Perry!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Blackout Wondeer!
The judges for this bout are Timothy Bukovac, and Don Winkell.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

The fight moves into the clinch position.
Perry could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
Perry keeps the fight in the clinch, despite Wondeer's efforts to push away.
Wondeer tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Perry smiles and moves away.

Wondeer has Perry up against the cage in a clinch.
Wondeer wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Perry has him pressed against the cage.

Perry has clasped his hands together around Wondeer's back... aaand, he's got a takedown into side control. Nicely done.
Wondeer manages to work his way to half guard, despite Perry's best efforts.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Wondeer is pressing down on Perry's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it.

Perry got a little sloppy there for a moment and Wondeer has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Perry has managed to get both his arms back between Wondeer's legs - danger averted.

Wondeer has an omoplata and is looking to use it perhaps as a submission or perhaps to transition. Perry is in a bit of discomfort here, but he's managed to free himself and has dived into side control! That didn't work out too well for Wondeer.
Perry prevents Wondeer from escaping the position.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Perry lands a decent elbow from side control.
Perry is chipping away with strikes.
Wondeer tries to improve position but can't.
Perry is staying tight to Wondeer's torso, preventing him from escaping.
Perry wants to lay and pray for a moment but Wondeer keeps working.

Perry is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Wondeer is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.
Perry throws an elbow but Wondeer slips to the side and avoids it well.

Perry tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Perry has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!
Wondeer wants to control but Perry postures up.

Wondeer tries to escape but Perry is in control.
Perry postures up a little and throws a couple of hammerfists but they don't connect properly.
It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup.
Perry is working Wondeer over with some ground and pound from side control.
Wondeer is looking for a sweep.
Wondeer is trying to control Perry's posture but Perry avoids it.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity.
An inside leg kick from Perry misses.
Wondeer connects with a single shot there.
Perry fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Wondeer avoids it really well and circles away.

Perry gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.

Perry has Wondeer pulled in close to control his posture.
Wondeer with a couple of shots to the head there. Not particularly brutal.
Wondeer is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.

Perry has moved round to his opponent's back and is looking for a suplex! Oh snap! He's tossed Wondeer clear over his head and slammed him to the mat!
Wondeer breaks Perry's hooks off and manages to turn into his guard.
Wondeer trying to control the position from guard on top but Perry is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

Wondeer stands and steps away. Perry gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game.

Wondeer tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Perry has his takedown stuffed
and Perry takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
Wondeer shoots in and drives through. Perry sprawls well.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Wondeer.

Wondeer gets tackled into the cage by Perry. Perry maintains the clinch.

Perry jumps guard and drags Wondeer to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back.

Brent Perry overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.

Wondeer throws a head kick that looked like it stung.

Perry darts in and clinches Wondeer up against the cage.
Perry has dropped down and is looking to force the takedown but it's defended by Wondeer after a bit of a struggle.
Wondeer tries for a takedown but Perry manages to get underhooks.
Wondeer tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Perry just stands there and leans against the cage.
Wondeer is breathing heavily.

Wondeer has closed the distance and engaged Perry in a clinch.

Perry tightens his grip and picks Wondeer up, before dumping him to the ground. Wondeer manages to land in guard.

That was a close second round but I would say that Brent Perry will probably get the nod.

That's time! Perry's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. Ladies and gentlemen, this is the final round!


Perry stuffs the takedown attempt from Wondeer. Wondeer gets slowly back to his feet.
Wondeer shoots in looking for a takedown but Perry manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Wondeer's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.

Perry trying to control the hands but Wondeer won't let him.
Wondeer has the hooks in. Perry is trying to push off one leg but he has to do so cautiously to avoid being submitted.

Wondeer is trying to stick to Perry's back but Perry is turning into Wondeer. He's managed to reverse the position - now he's in Wondeer's guard. Polite applause from the crowd in appreciation of some nice Jiu Jitsu by Perry.
Wondeer is looking to stand back up... there's a bit of a scramble and Perry dives into side control.
Wondeer avoids any damage from the ground and pound of Perry.

Perry wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Wondeer, who protects the arm well.
The ground and pound from Perry seems to be hitting the mat more than his opponent.

Wondeer throwing some weak shots from the bottom that do no damage.
Wondeer is looking for a sweep.
You can see the frustration on Wondeer's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!

Well I reckon that's a shut out for Perry, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
