PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Tommy Vercetti (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Laz Briscoe (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Vercetti comes into the arena with king kunta blaring out of the sound system. We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Jonathan Paton, Eddie Farnsworth and Anthony Taglia.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

It looks like Laz Briscoe has been cut.

Briscoe had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Vercetti defends it easily.

Briscoe has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Vercetti can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

Briscoe escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Vercetti gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Vercetti looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Briscoe with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.

And that's the end of the fight!

Well Vercetti has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
