Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Long Franklin (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Luke The Duke (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Luke The Duke told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The judges for this bout are Timothy Bukovac, Frank Antenori and Jack Bonds.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
The Duke closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.
The Duke wants to stand but Franklin is controlling his arm.
You can see the frustration on Franklin's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Franklin manages to get back to half guard.
Franklin might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.
The Duke stands up and beckons Franklin to join him on the feet.

The Duke changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Franklin tries to avoid it but The Duke manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Franklin to the ground. Franklin escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

Franklin is nestled in close to The Duke, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.

Horrible takedown attempt by Franklin or perhaps it was just good defense by The Duke, which made it look bad.
