The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Gallo throws a head kick but Bodahl moves out of range.
Bodahl half commits to a counter takedown before pushing away, out of range.

Bodahl shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat.
Bodahl seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.
Bodahl passes Gallo's left leg - he's now in half guard.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Bodahl is taking a breather. Gallo says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.

Bodahl's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.

The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Bodahl cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!

Bodahl is controlling this nicely and is looking to make no mistakes. Gallo is trying to wiggle out of this horrible position. Gallo flips to his side and attempts to get a leg in for half guard. Bodahl anticipates the leg and manages to get behind Gallo and secures both hooks! This could be bad! Bodahl slips an arm under Gallo chin and tries to position for a rear naked choke. Bodahl has worked the choke in now and it looks tight. Bodahl is squeezing on Gallo like an anaconda would it's prey. Gallo fails to tap and has fallen unconscious! We've got ourselves a winner by way of a rear naked choke!
