PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Fabrici Gorfal (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jin Mishima (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Mishima has chosen All I Do Is Win as his entrance music. Jin Mishima will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Gorfal defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Mishima.

Mishima drives through with a takedown into guard.

Mishima drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Gorfal manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Mishima has Gorfal in his guard.

Gorfal advances position into side control!
Mishima defending against the ground and pound.
Gorfal tries to advance to mount but can't.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Mishima looking for a sweep but Gorfal has passed into full mount! Oh no!
Mishima tries to reverse the position but Gorfal maintains control.
Gorfal looking to control but Mishima is working nicely, looking to advance position himself.

Gorfal is trying to work for a kimura but Mishima is defending well.
Gorfal is looking to take a break and control but Mishima is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
Gorfal thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Mishima's head.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

Mishima has hold of a guillotine but he's not going to be able to crank on it really with only half guard, so it's no trouble for Gorfal. Oh but Mishima has got full guard now! Oh boy! This one could be over very soon! Gorfal goes limp - he's gone! Mishima jumps up and celebrates with the crowd - fantastic submission finish!

A relieved looking Jin Mishima thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
