Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Deair Shaw (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Big Bird (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Deair Shaw looks tired to me. Hopefully he has got enough gas left in the tank to put in a good performance.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Deair Shaw!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Big Bird!
The judges for this bout are Shigeki Sano, Tatsuya Matsuyama and Yasuomi Hirokawa.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bird ducks under a wild hook from Shaw.

Bird shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Shaw napping and manages to drive through into side control!

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity.

Shaw tries to strike but it doesn't land.
Oh Shaw is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!
Bird creates some space and throws a big elbow, but Shaw sees it coming and moves his head just enough to avoid the strike.
Shaw seems to have got his legs back now.

Bird wants to lay and pray for a moment but Shaw keeps working.

Shaw is really trying hard to get back to his feet.
Bird lands a big elbow.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.

Bird working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that.

Bird is looking to take a break and control but Shaw is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet.

Bird closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.

Bird frees up his trapped foot and advances to mount.

Bird really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Shaw. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Bird cracks Shaw with a nasty head shot there - the crowd let out an audible gasp there, as the noise reverberated around the arena.
Bird lands with some vicious ground and pound - can Shaw hang on?

Bird connects with a bit shot that sees Shaw covering up! More strikes from Bird and the referee jumps in to stop the fight! Bird is our winner by TKO!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:24 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Big Bird!
