Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Steven Work (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Karl Geriosa (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Karl Geriosa is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Work looks to land a combination but Geriosa avoids it well.
Geriosa misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Geriosa shoots in and drives through. Work sprawls well.
Work swinging wildly here.

Geriosa gets the takedown into side control.
Work tries to improve position but can't.
Work wants to control but Geriosa postures up.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Geriosa is pausing for a moment. What's he doing? It looks like he's clearing his nose. Oh dude! He's shot a load of snot all down Work's shoulder. That is not cool.
Work takes a big shot right to the temple there but he's taken it well.

Geriosa has had enough of the ground for now and decides to stand.
Work shoots in but Geriosa avoids the takedown attempt easily.

Geriosa feints and as Work raises his hands in defense, Geriosa changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.

Work has scooted to the edge of the canvas and used the cage to get back to his feet. Geriosa has stuck on his opponent and is forcing him back against the cage.

Geriosa jumps guard and drags Work to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back.

Work looking to sit in guard and control but Geriosa gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.

Geriosa shoots in and bounces Work off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.

Work working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Geriosa doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Geriosa manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Geriosa got a little sloppy there for a moment and Work has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Geriosa has managed to get both his arms back between Work's legs - danger averted.

Geriosa shoots in looking for a takedown. Work tries to sprawl out of it but Geriosa keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Work manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Work appears to be looking for a counter takedown.
Geriosa is breathing heavily.
A kick lands to the mid section there for Work.

Geriosa is not content to let Work control the position.
Geriosa is trying to control Work's posture but Work avoids it.

Work looks up at the clock and then as Geriosa takes his cue and looks up at the clock too, Work smacks him right in the chops with a big elbow! How rude!
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Geriosa is looking to slip a leg under and get half guard but Work is one step ahead and moves to full mount!

The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action! The crowd applaud as we get ready to start the final round!

Geriosa tightens his grip and picks Work up, before dumping him to the ground. Work manages to land in guard.

Work scrambles and gets back to his feet.

and Work counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.

Work closes the distance and clinches up with Geriosa, looking for a takedown. Work pushes Geriosa against the cage but Geriosa circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.

Geriosa is trying to advance to mount but he's lost his balance and Work reverses the position - he's now on top in Geriosa's guard.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

Geriosa has an omoplata and is looking to use it perhaps as a submission or perhaps to transition. Work is in a bit of discomfort here, but he's managed to free himself and has dived into side control! That didn't work out too well for Geriosa.

Work wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Geriosa, who protects the arm well.

Work goes for an armbar! This could be all over! Wait, no, Geriosa rolls with the submission and now he's on top in Work's guard! Nice work there by Geriosa!
