Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 5 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Wanderlei Silva!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Daniel Cesar, Seu Braga and Luis Engracia.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Silva throws a body kick that digs right into the meat.
Arona should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete.
Silva misses with a few strikes there.
Arona tries to clinch up.

Silva drives through and clinches with Arona against the cage.
Arona wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Silva has him pressed against the cage.
Silva scores with a knee to the head.

Silva breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Silva lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh.
Arona looks gassed!
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Silva pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Silva connects with a leg kick. He turned his hip over nicely there.
Silva cracks Arona with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business.
Silva throws an overhand right from the outside, which connects and sends Arona stumbling backwards into the cage! Arona bounces back off the cage towards Silva, who cracks him with a two punch combination that drops him to his knees! Silva lands two more shots before the referee has chance to intervene - what a finish! Silva celebrates with his corner as the crowd cheer loudly.
