The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Hustler closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.

Hustler is trying to drag Booker to the mat but Booker just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there.

A bit of a lull in the action. I'm sure it will pick up again soon... even if the ref has to physically pick them up and put them back on their feet.

Booker throws a wild body kick that Hustler sees coming a mile off.
Hustler shoots in for a takedown but Booker shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.

Hustler wants to lay and pray for a moment but Booker keeps working.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Hustler shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Booker but Booker pushes him off and we're back to square one.

Hollywood Hustler seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Hustler takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.

A battle for position here, against the cage.
Hustler lands a right hand that snaps the head of Booker backwards.
A short body shot lands from Booker as the two fighters clinch.
Hustler is working hard here but doesn't seem to be able to control effectively, up against the cage.

You can see the frustration on Booker's face… He knows he is in trouble unless he improves his position sooner rather than later.

Booker is staying cool under pressure, defending well against the rear naked choke attempt from his opponent.
