The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hakim shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Morimoto sprawls well. Morimoto wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Hakim gets slowly back to his feet.
Morimoto tries a quick counter leg kick but Hakim is wise to it.
Hakim avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Morimoto stuffs the takedown.
Hakim throws a jab but it's blocked by Morimoto.
Hakim tries to check a leg kick but that clearly hurt him.

and Morimoto makes him pay by landing a thudding low kick.

Morimoto throws a leg kick which misses Hakim's front leg but catches the back leg as Hakim tries to avoid it.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Hakim tries to score a power double leg takedown but Morimoto sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Hakim somewhat.
Morimoto lands with a nice low kick. That'll leave a bruise.

Hakim wants to stand but Morimoto is controlling his arm.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity.
