The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Riley uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Peppers.
Sergeant Peppers seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Peppers fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Riley tries to close the distance and clinch up but Peppers swats him away and circles back towards the center.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

Riley has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Peppers is working away from the top position though.

Peppers in half guard on the top. He's looking for a kimura... He's got it locked and he's managed to free his trapped foot. Riley tries to escape but it's on too tight and he has to tap! Great BJJ skills there from Peppers!
