Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Bunny Anstey (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mark Scott (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Scott is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by Fight Music. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Bunny Anstey!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Mark Scott!
The judges for this bout are Steve Smith, Dillan Fox and Alec Ball.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Scott scores a takedown into full mount!
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Anstey bucks up and manages to get a nice reversal! He's in guard on the top - nicely done!

Scott is looking for a triangle but Anstey pushes his legs off easily.

Ansteyis looking to pass into half guard but Scott pushes him away with his feet and jumps on top - now Scott is in guard.
Scott stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Anstey swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Anstey is looking for a triangle but Scott pushes his legs off easily.
Scott won't allow Anstey to sweep him here.

Anstey escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Scott gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
Scott throws a big right hand that misses.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Scott pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Anstey is keeping the position for now.
Scott controls from within his opponent's guard.

Scott avoids a guillotine attempt easily.

Anstey looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.

Anstey working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Scott doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Scott manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
Anstey is breathing heavily.

The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.
Anstey throws his legs up looking to secure a triangle. Oh, that looks pretty tight, I gotta say! Scott escapes and throws Anstey's legs to the side, diving into side control!
Scott advances to full mount.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Scott is in full mount, looking to secure a guillotine but Anstey is surviving well by controlling Scott's body position as best he can.

Anstey is desperately trying to improve his position but Scott has a good base and remains in mount.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.

Scott is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. Anstey can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.
Both fighters really going for it on the ground here!

The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

Scott is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Anstey defends it well.

Anstey decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.
Anstey is looking to pass the guard... He's managed it - he's now in full mount!
Scott is not a happy chappy… he wants out of there.
Scott tries to hold on but Anstey postures up.
Scott has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
Scott is controlling an arm, preventing Anstey from taking his back. Although keeping him in mount is no better to be honest.

Anstey moves into side control, trying to work for a kimura. That looks painful! Will he finish!!?? No, Scott has worked his arm free - good work by Scott!
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Scott manages to get back to half guard.

Anstey wants to work for an arm triangle but Scott is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.

Scott manages to escape and get back to his feet!
Scott swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Scott throws a series of punches but Anstey avoids them all with ease.
Scott connects with a hook to the side of his opponent's head.
Scott connects with a body shot.

Anstey gets cracked there but stands up to it.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Anstey.
Bunny Anstey is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Scott scores with a punch to the gut of his opponent.

Scott feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

Scott decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Anstey, up you get!
Scott connects with a nice looking jab.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Anstey takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it.
Anstey ducks right into an uppercut from Scott.

Anstey takes one to the side of the head.
Scott looks to land a combination. Anstey sees it coming but can only parry a couple of the shots.
Scott throws a two punch combo that lands nicely.
Scott lands a powerful looking uppercut that connected with his opponent's jaw.
Scott scores with a one two! Anstey had his feet all tangled up there and couldn't avoid the strikes.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Scott wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection.

Scott has been the more effective fighter overall so far.
Anstey with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Scott to score with a decent uppercut.
Scott lands with a shot to the body.

Scott throws a right and a left that Anstey avoids nicely.
Scott digs a good body shot into Anstey's ribs.
Scott lands a straight punch to the body, keeping Anstey at a distance.
Anstey takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it.
Anstey walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head.
Anstey takes an uppercut right on the jaw but it doesn't phase him.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Scott clobbers Anstey with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise.
Mark Scott seems to be getting the better of the standup.
Scott scores with a nice right hand.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Mark Scott showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
That's time! Back to the action! This is the final round!


Scott lands with a nice combination. Anstey backs away looking to recover.

Scott fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Anstey looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.
Scott ducks down and throws a hook to the body.
Scott tries to bum rush Anstey with a series of wild strikes but Anstey uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Anstey takes a jab on the nose. He smiles like he loves it and keeps coming.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.

Scott bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
Scott advances to full mount.
Scott prevents Anstey from getting the reversal.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.

Scott has hold of an arm here, looking to extend it. He's committed to the armbar attempt here! Will he get it?! Yes! Anstey is forced to tap!
