Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
10 - 3 - 0, fighting out of London, Teuvo Loman!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
14 - 7 - 1, fighting out of Las Vegas, Rodrigo Gracie !
The judges for this bout are Steven Brown, Richard Clark and Sam Margolis.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Loman slips under a jab from Gracie .
As Gracie tries to get set, Loman tries to push him back and clinch up but Gracie manages to avoid the attempt.
Gracie fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Loman sprawls well initially but Gracie persists and gets the takedown into half guard.
Gracie seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense.
Gracie moves nicely into side control.
Gracie in side control, just content to control the action for now.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Gracie tries to move to mount but Loman blocks the move with his legs.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Gracie has hold of Loman's arm. He's looking for a kimura. Loman seems comfortable defending it but Gracie has shifted his position slighty and is cranking on the arm! Loman is real pain and he's forced to tap out! Loman is disgusted with himself for not defending it better but Gracie couldn't care less - he's delighted!
