Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Neculai Costel (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Walter Lanister (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Costel comes to the cage accompanied by Ain't No Sunshine. There are an array of beautiful celebrities at ringside tonight! I wonder if any of them paid for their tickets.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A telegraphed right hand from Lanister misses the target.
Costel seems to be moving with more speed, compared to his last bout. He must have been working on that in the gym.
Costel does a little shimmy and throws a leg kick. The leg kick missed by a considerable margin though, making him look a little bit silly for doing the shimmy.
Costel takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily.
Costel throws a head kick that misses.
Costel defending well as Lanister loads up on a big left hand.
Costel walks into a straight right hand from Lanister.
Costel throws a body kick that misses.
A little jabbing left from Lanister on the counter but it doesn't find it's target.
A looping hook to the body misses from Lanister. Costel does a little dance to reset his feet.
Lanister throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Costel sees it coming and avoids it easily.
Costel feinted with a counter takedown.
Costel misses with a looping right.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Lanister swings and misses with a hook to the body.

Lanister throws a shot from downtown. Costel moves away and avoids it.

and Costel counters with a nice double leg into side control. Lanister won't be happy with that.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Costel is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Lanister knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.

Costel wants to lay and pray for a moment but Lanister keeps working.

Costel has hold of Lanister's arm here. He's working for an Americana. It looks like he might have it! Lanister tries to escape but he's just digging himself in deeper - Costel cranks the arm and Lanister screams in pain! The ref makes a decision and ends the fight before the tap - no complains from Lanister, who is just happy to have his arm attached to his body.
