Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Robert Holmes (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Gustavus Adolphus (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Robert Holmes!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Gustavus Adolphus!
The judges for this bout are Leandro Rodrigues, Luis Engracia and Felipe Paraventi.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Adolphus blocks a leg kick.
Adolphus avoids a punch combination nicely.
An inside leg kick lands from Adolphus.
Adolphus throws a nice outside leg kick.
Holmes swings for the body but Adolphus moves out of range.
Holmes jabs. That one connects to the head of his opponent.
Adolphus throws a nice head kick!
Holmes has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance.
Adolphus looking to take his opponent's legs away with the low kicks.
Wow, both these guys are really going for it!
Adolphus fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Holmes.
Adolphus fakes a jab and scores with a low kick.
Adolphus tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
As Adolphus backs away, Holmes returns fire with a leg kick that just misses.
Holmes wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Adolphus attempts a low kick but it misses it's target.
Adolphus has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Holmes finds it's way round the side to connect with Adolphus's head.
Adolphus throws a leg kick but he was too far away and it doesn't land.

Holmes is looking to chop away at Adolphus's legs.
Adolphus steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Holmes.
Robert Holmes seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Adolphus wants to clinch up but Holmes keeps it at a distance.
Adolphus lands with an uppercut that bounces Holmes off the cage and back into range.

Adolphus blocks a low kick nicely.
Adolphus appears to be waiting to throw a counter punch to the body.
Holmes throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd.
Holmes throws a looping overhand right but Adolphus ducks down to avoid it.
Adolphus misses with a shot to the body
and Holmes counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
Adolphus finds himself stumbling back on wobbly legs after being clipped by a right hand. He's up against the cage, ducking and weaving under Holmes's strikes but an uppercut finds it's way through and Adolphus falls! - He's completely out of it and the ref jumps in to save him!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:31 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Robert Holmes!
